光华EMBA十周年庆典活动之巡回论坛香港站暨EMBA香港校友会成立两周年庆典活动于5月23日（周六）下午在港岛香格里拉酒店隆重举行。北京大学光华管理学院张维迎院长，武常岐副院长、李其深圳分院院长、王亚非学院发展部主任出席了此次活动。在庆典中举行的“金融海啸下中港企业的危与机”论坛上张维迎院长发表演讲。中央人民政府香港特别行政区联络办公室副主任李刚、外交部駐港公署副特派員詹永新、香港特别行政区财经事务及库务局局长陈家强、李宁有限公司董事长李宁先生、瑞银投资银行亚太区副主席蔡洪平、中银国际总裁王岩等香港政界和商界知名人士前往祝贺。

张维迎VS陈家强：港币会不会在20年后消失
张维迎院长于北京大学光华管理学院EMBA十周年巡回论坛中指出，未来上海将是拉动中国经济的火车头，如果说上海将成为中国的纽约，香港则将是中国的芝加哥。出席同一场合的财经事务及库务局局长陈家强则认为，在中国套用美国的例子是不太恰当的，若真将上海比作纽约，香港亦并非芝加哥，而是中国的伦敦，是投资者于上海之外的别样选择。
张维迎表示，香港经济是中国经济的「衍生体」，香港财富积累就像是设在通往中国经济路上的一座收费站，若中国如他所预期于20-30年后成为世界上最大的经济体，那么香港的前途仍是光明的。但需留意的是通往中国的不再只有香港这一座桥，上海的崛起对香港而言是非常重要的事情。诚然上海不可取代香港，但香港并不能彻底地理解中国经济发展，而上海可以，上海对中国经济崛起的贡献是香港所不可能做到的。「中国金融中心的定位，用美国例子作模拟并不大恰当」，身为本港财经要员的陈家强反驳道，上海带动中国经济发展的作用是重要的、特有的，但中国的情况与美国并不相同，美国的华盛顿就不可能像北京有那么多的银行总部，「就算上海成为美国纽约，当然那将是几十年后的事，将香港比作纽约东边的芝加哥，或许比当作西边的旧金山更为恰当」，但他却认为，香港该是美国的伦敦，即现时美国大型跨国公司在纽约上市外，亦有很多金融买卖在伦敦。
挑战本港的国际金融中心地位外，张维迎亦认为，「20年内港币将会消失」，并指港币消失对香港而言并不是件坏事，而是换作更有价值的东西；未来香港要巩固其国际金融中心地位，就必须是采用人民币之后，才能够达到该位置，这是进取的，而不是消极的。陈家强则机智地回应称，我想维迎想说的是，在他有生之年，人民币将成为世界主要国际货币，而这也是我所认同并希望的，至于港币消失问题，从《基本法》的角度来看，港币是不会消失的。
